The Town of Discovery Bay closed escrow on February 13, 2013 for the purchase of 7.25 acres of land that is now home to the Discovery Bay Community Center. The site was formerly the Discovery Bay Athletic Club, and is located at 1601 Discovery Bay Boulevard, across from the Discovery Bay Shopping Center.
After a short closure, the District reopened the facility on January 2, 2014. The renovation transformed the interior from an athletic club to a multi-use Community Center. The District’s Board is still considering options and future uses of the land, including a potential expansion.
