Kevin Graves is an East Bay native who has made Discovery Bay home for the last 26 years. Kevin raised his son, Joey, here as a single parent and has come to embrace all aspects of Discovery Bay. From the schools, to his church, to the recreation and boating, Kevin has always been of service to his community.

While serving on the CSD Board of Directors since 2009, Kevin has served multiple terms as President and Vice-President; and he has also served as Chairman of every Committee within the District as well as other local and regional boards and commissions.

When Kevin isn’t serving the citizens of Discovery Bay, he serves the veterans of our nation as a LINC for the California Department of Veterans Affairs. Kevin is the president of “Some Gave All – The Joey Graves Foundation” which he founded to honor the memory of his son, SPC Joseph Graves, who gave his life for his country in Iraq on July 25, 2006.

Kevin also serves in the California State Guard as a Sergeant First Class. His is presently a Chaplain’s Assistant for the 185th MP Battalion, located in Pittsburg, CA. There he provides moral and spiritual support to the soldiers as an integral part of the Unit Ministry Team.
