Traffic Alert: Expect Significant Delays on SR-4

Caltrans has announced maintenance work on the State Route 4 Old River Bridge that will significantly impact both vehicle and marine traffic beginning February 2026 through November 2026!

Full closure of SR-4 at Old River Bridge with detours

Sunday, February 1, 2026 from 7:00 AM-7:00 PM

Long-term, one-way traffic control

Monday, February 2, 2026 until November 2026

Marine Traffic Impacts!

The bridge is closed to marine traffic and boaters must use alternate routes

January 25 – July 10, 2026

Plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use alternate routes when possible.
